Kunstkamera
Russia's first museum, founded by Peter the Great in 1714 and housed since 1728 in a Baroque building on Vasilyevsky Island, facing the Neva. It combines a cabinet of curiosities with ethnographic collections of peoples from around the world. There you will find the anatomical specimens gathered by Peter, such as Frederik Ruysch's preparations, and the Gottorp Globe. The Lomonosov museum is in the same building.
