Erarta
Contemporary art museum opened in 2010 on Vasilyevsky Island, on the 29th Line. It presents itself as the largest private museum of contemporary Russian art, and brings together painting, sculpture, installations and work by artists from the mid-20th century onwards. It offers temporary exhibitions and a different perspective on Russian art compared with the Hermitage and the Russian Museum, which focus on earlier periods.
